As we approach the Maha Lokarpan of the ISKCON Navi Mumbai Temple and The Glory of Maharashtra Project by P.M. Narendra Modi on 15th Jan, 2025, in this note we are remembering our Shiksha Guru and guiding light for this project, His Holiness Gopal Krisna Goswami Maharaj.
Maharaj passed away from this mortal world on May 5, 2024, in Dehradun, India.
His passing away has created a vacuum in the minds and hearts of all the devotees within ISKCON, especially his disciples and followers. Maharaja had sublime devotional qualities, dedication to Srila Prabhupada's mission and great concern for protecting the mission of ISKCON.
Maharaj was a dedicated servant of Lord Shri Krishna and the guru-parampara.
His unwavering humility, absolute dedication and complete surrender to Srila Prabhupada's mission serve as an enduring source of inspiration - His Holiness Radhanath Swami Maharaja.
His lectures and Kirtans have had great impact on the young Indians, thus becoming instrumental in engaging thousands of youth in devotional service - Suradas Dasa.
